Dr. Austin Felver, a Jacksonville native, joined Atlantic Eye Institute in 2018. He is a board-certified optometrist who has a special interest in specialty contact lenses as well as management of ocular surface disease.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Dr. Felver then went on to earn a Doctorate of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Austin Felver completed an externship at Ft. Lauderdale Eye Institute where he concentrated on diagnosing and treating ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration. He also completed externships that enabled him to gain valuable skills and experience in LASIK, cataract and corneal transplant pre and post-op management.
Dr. Austin Felver is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society, the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. He resides in Atlantic Beach. When not at work at Atlantic Eye Institute, he enjoys fishing, hiking and spending time with his family.
