Dr. Christen Russell, Florida Board Certified Optometrist, is a Florida native, growing up in Melbourne, Florida. She graduated University of Central Florida with honors receiving her Bachelor of Science. She then continued on to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she attended Nova Southeastern University earning her Doctorate of Optometry in 2009.
During her training and externships, Dr. Russell focused on contact lens, pre and post operative care, glaucoma, ocular disease, pediatric and primary care. Her professional interests lie in both primary care and ocular disease.
Her practice focuses on comprehensive eye care including diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Russell enjoys getting to know her patients and building relationships with them.
She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while providing the best possible treatment options. She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Florida Optometric Association. Dr. Russell has served on the Northeast Florida Optometric Board for several years including Presidency.
Dr Russell and her husband have one daughter and two dogs, a sheepadoodle and a Maltese. Their passions and time spent together include exploring food, traveling and staying active as a family!
