Lens Options at Atlantic Eye Institute

Atlantic Eye Institute features a wide range of lenses to provide you with protection, comfort, and maximum visual performance, including:

Single Vision

Single vision lenses can correct vision at one distance. They are great for patients with nearsightedness or farsightedness.

Bifocal

Bifocal lenses can correct vision at two distances. They are commonly used to help patients with age-related farsightedness or presbyopia.

Trifocal

Trifocal lenses address vision issues at three distances. They are typically set up in three zones of different powers, with distance at the top, intermediate in the center, and up-close at the bottom.

Computer/Intermediate

Computer glasses are ideal for patients who spend a lot of time working on the computer. They can provide clear intermediate and up-close vision and be customized to reduce glare and filter blue light from computer screens.

Varilux Progressive

Varilux progressive lenses offer a wide field of vision at all distances while minimizing distortions and smoothing transitions. The newest Varilux XR lens provides wearers with instant sharpness, even in motion.

Transitions®

Transition® lenses, sometimes called “light intelligent lenses,” darken in the sun to protect wearers from harmful UV rays. We offer all types of Transition® Lenses, including the fast-changing Transitions S Series®, Xtractive® Lenses, which provide extra darkness and light protection, and Transition® Polarized Lenses, ideal for patients who spend lots of time outdoors.

Polarized

Polarized lenses are also great for patients who spend a lot of time outside, as they can reduce glare and eye strain by filtering out harsh light. They’re perfect for daytime driving, fishing, boating, and beach combing.

Anti-Reflective

Anti-reflective lenses can reduce glare that causes eye strain and fatigue. We carry Crizal Rock®, a glare-free lens with increased scratch protection and enhanced performance.

Essential Blue Series®

Essential Blue Series® lenses provide optimal UV and blue-violet light filtering without changing how you see colors. They can filter up to three times more blue-violet light than other lenses.

Eyezen+®

Eyezen+® lenses are enhanced digital single vision lenses for patients who spend a lot of time on computers and smartphones. They defend against eyestrain caused by screens and include blue light protection.

Atlantic Eye Institute wants to help you protect your investment in your vision, which is why we offer free eyewear adjustments and cleanings, minor repairs, and replacement nose pads.
