Dr. Michelle L. Diaz is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained refractive surgeon, specializing in cataract surgery and LASIK, laser vision correction.
Attending the University of South Florida, Dr. Michelle L. Diaz graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2003.
Dr. Diaz holds a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. She also served as chief resident of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida.
Dr. Michelle L. Diaz’s research activities during her training included complex cataract cases, wound healing during LASIK and custom refractive surgery outcomes. Experts have turned to her to present at various state and national meetings, including Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Diaz is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
When not performing life transforming eye care surgical procedures and services, focuses her energy on family time. Dr. Michelle L. Diaz values and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Together they can be found scuba diving, bicycling, fishing, traveling and motorcycle riding.
