Dr. Danielle Callegari joined Atlantic Eye Institute in 2014. She is a board-certified optometrist by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Danielle Callegari specializes in treating dry eye disease and challenging contact lens fittings due to keratoconus, high astigmatic errors and corneal disorders.
Dr. Callegari received her Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from Mississippi State University. She received her Bachelor of Vision Science and Doctorate degrees from NOVA Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft Lauderdale, Fl.
She completed Ocular Disease Internships at the VA Bay Pines Medical Hospital, as well as, other prominent cataract and pediatric clinics while in south Florida. Dr. Danielle Callegari is an active member of the North East Florida Optometric Society and the Florida Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Callegari enjoys being active in organizations that give back to the community including vision screenings with Vision is Priceless. She also volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville by helping to serve breakfast to the families of children who are being treated at Wolfsons and Nemours. Dr. Callegari serves on the young professionals board for Dreams Come True—which is the First Coast’s only locally based wish granting organization dedicated to granting dreams to children battling a life threatening illness.
